Fix the rot, not just the board
Wood rot on a Florida house almost always starts with water getting somewhere it shouldn't. If I just slap a new board over it, it'll be back. So I pull the bad wood, check the nailer and rafter tails behind it, show you photos of what I find, and price anything extra before I touch it.
New wood gets primed on all sides before it goes up, so it lasts. Then I caulk, paint to match, and haul off the old wood.
